kd hair was established in late 2014 and is rapidly becoming one of the Penrith area’s most sought after and recognised hair studios (if we do say so ourselves).

kd hair was initially established as a mobile hairdressing service, followed by a home based business. Within a month, we outgrew our home premises which resulted in our relocation to the new studio premises in Castlereagh Street, Penrith. After just 4 months in this space, the studio was expanded into a space 3 times its original size, reopening its doors in June 2015 with a bigger and better salon experience exclusively designed by Kaydee (the Salon Owner) herself.. This all happened in less than 6 months of opening!

The kd hair salon is a little ‘hidden gem’ providing a highly recommended and requested hairdressing service. We pride ourselves on being recognised for our flawless and up to date colour techniques as well as our highly demanded styling services whilst continuing our excellent customer service and creating a salon atmosphere that is fun, uplifting and enjoyable (and REAL).

In late 2015, kd hair was selected as a finalist for the local business awards in the "New Business" Category and was featured as a winner of a Small Biz Grant for new businesses which enabled us to make the transition to digital in 2016.

Our team compliment each other and their hairdressing skills perfectly, which creates an incomparable service and hairdressing team.

Kaydee completed her 4 year hairdressing apprenticeship whilst working at The Groomsmen Hair Studio in Penrith Westfields where she began building her loyal client base for over six years. She studied at Kingswood TAFE and graduated with credits and distinctions in all hairdressing fields and subjects which is a true testament to her talent.

She then completed a Certificate III in Micro Business Operations to learn the ropes of becoming a successful business woman as well as undertaking various hair styling workshops with a number of industry professionals including celebrity stylist Natalie Ann.

Kaydee is a perfectionist which is mirrored in the high quality and flawless work she produces. She is recognised for her soft, textured looks and natural, sun kissed balayage, plus the perfect blonde.

Outside of kd hair, you'll find Kaydee spending time with her son Jesse and her husband Mitch.

She has a very thoughtful, caring, loving, calm and fun nature, which is portrayed in her relaxed, easy going and ‘real’ salon atmosphere. Plus, her employees say she's a pretty cool boss too.

Samantha completed her Cert 3 in hairdressing at Ultimo Tafe. She has been in the industry since she was 15 years old and enjoys a conversation with her clients while she makes them feel better.

Sam enjoys colour and styling hair, especially blondes. Her attention to detail is very important.

In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors with family and friends.

She can't wait to meet you all.

 

Alyssa is an emerging stylist who has a passion for all things hair! She can’t wait to learn and grow as a stylist. She is sure to make your salon experience very relaxing!

In her spare time she likes to spend time with her friends and ride motorbikes.
